Entrepreneurial Spirit

Vision is something I have never lacked. Creating spaces, ideas and branding personal aesthetic has always been a pass time for me. Even as a young child I knew that my vision was something special. I always had a knack for conjuring up a certain beauty, whether that be on the writing page, in a stylized shoot, posing my friends for their portraits, creating art and even creating a small business based on aesthetics at just 16.

However, as most of you are aware; the path of academics and employee spirit is the path that many high school students come to know. Ambitious I am, I thought I must do something great, if I had to work for someone it must be as a doctor or professor. Teaching next generations or saving them.

What would I teach?

I would teach others to acknowledge their pursuits, what they love and what they find beautiful. I would teach them to disregard advice that does not make sense to their soul. I would tell them while the path most travelled is indeed right for some, you do not need to make a last minute turn down a street you were never meant to go down just because your mom or grandma or whoever you let in the passenger seat told you it would be faster. I would teach others how to listen to their intuition, to be grateful for their gifts and how to foster a connection with themselves that is far stronger than the ties to a vision created by other.

I would teach them not to feel lonely.

I would say, you there, there are fireworks in your soul ready to light in the perfect sequence for a celebration of your emancipation from the restrictions of the world. Even if these restrictions are efforts to keep you safe, no amount of perceived safeness will replace the joy you feel when all colors of your rainbow light up a dark sky.

And one day you'll find the lighter that sparks the celebratory sequence of life to begin.

You will find the one that sparks the true spirit of you, the one who can curate their life in beauty and love. This person will see all the colors of your soul and tell you not to safen yourself but tell you all the greatness you are.

Thank you Anthony for being kind enough to tell me I should not be a professor. That I should not pick the path that teaches people what not to do.

So instead, I will start my celebration of life today. In entrepreneurial spirit I will now begin building upon that 16 year olds vision and create a brand based on potential, expression and beautiful vision.

I am happy to announce that I am starting a passion project, creating a space for my vision in this world and celebrating the gifts and colors of my being. This blog will begin to tell the story of how Violet Elder created and fostered an entrepreneurial spirit and this post is the spark that tells the fireworks to prepare to join the stars in the night sky.
